Free Family Holiday Fun in The South of Houston

It's time for the charm of the holiday season to take hold. Sparkling string lights-decorated Christmas Wonderland is upon us. Everyone is ready to get into the car and ride around the neighborhood gazing at holiday lights. Here are our family top 7 places to do it for free in Southeast Houston.

The Christmas Train, Alvin

A great place to start the Christmas season. Even though the train ticket costs $7 if bought online, you still can skip the ride and just walk around the camps to enjoy 300,000 Christmas lights, large storybook land illustrations, gingerbread decorations and seasonal vintage ornaments all around the Victory Camp. They have quite a few beautiful setups for holiday family photos with a gigantic fireplace in the middle of campus.

An elaborate Christmas village display with a multitude of scenes and moving elements is set inside the campus.

Green Tee Subdivision (Pearland, TX)  
Take a self-guided tour along Green Tee and Country Club Dr. to see beautiful Christmas light displays.

Moss Lights (Westover Park, League city, TX)
Through Jan. 4, 2018
Where: 540 Southampton Ln., League City, TX 77573
A local neighborhood you can visit thru Jan. 4, 2018 that hosts a cool and free Christmas light show. The display is powered by over 80,000 lights synchronized to music.

While there, take a stroll around the subdivision to see some sparkly shiny Christmas outdoor displays.
