I built this little corner of the internet from nothing while taking classes at my local community college. Like many creatives, I started without a concrete plan. My first blog ideas were scribbled on the back of a napkin—or whatever crumpled sheet of paper I could find. After graduating, I stretched the last of my already-tight budget to buy my first professional Mac and began bringing those ideas to life. By the fall of 2018, those scattered thoughts had somehow grown into something real, including several of my fall-inspired font articles. To honor the season that helped start it all, I’m sharing another fall article that I hope you enjoy—and put to good use!

It’s never too early to start working on your winter holidays projects from Christmas cards to holiday party invitations to winter bash fliers, to... you name it. So this roundup of free and decorative fonts will help you create your next stellar design. A few swirls and swashes in the letters will give the festive makeover to the text usually written out in Times New Roman or even in Alex Brush.

FONTS IN USE

Decisions, decisions. When it comes to a good design there are so many elements to consider. Typography! Color! Layout! Photography! It cannot be emphasized enough how important a good photo is for design. I love the fact that we can go online these days and find millions of different beautiful shots.
