Last year marked a major milestone for our family – our 10th wedding anniversary! Ten wonderful years of love, growth, and adventure together. To celebrate this special occasion, we decided to throw a fun pool party topped with a decadent cake. All that was left was to create a beautiful cake topper that would match the sweetness of the moment. Luckily, my design skills were on hand to help me create a topper that was almost as sweet as our love.
I pulled my laptop to design one, thinking I would do it in 10 mins, tops. Little did I know. Something that seemed so routine turned into a 2-hour hassle.
Every single script font that I liked for the wording, just didn’t do it for the numbers. All the curves and swashes looked great on the letters but made the numbers too indistinct.
Not to mention, some of the script fonts didn’t even have the numbers available. Like the ones, you’d download at no cost mostly for personal use.
So here I am six months later working on the list of font combinations for headlines with numbers. Guess, one cannot be too prepared for a lifetime of wedding anniversaries.
For my project, I ended up using the first pairing on the list. To see how it looked live, scroll down to the usage. Hopefully, it comes in handy to you too.
In some cases, I used additional treatments to the text, such as All Caps or extra spacing between the letters. So if you wish to mimic the design please be aware of those tweaks.
