Here's a round-up of all free vector files that you can download, tweak, and use for personal and commercial use.

Free and Indispensable Fonts for Halloween

Halloween is anything but boring. It's the only time of the year when otherwise sensible designers choose to desert the golden rules of readability and legibility and go with ghosties, spiders, and cat shapes in place of letters.

I am still in the cobwebs about how exactly Halloween went from being the beginning of the Celtic New Year to its present form, but I am more than happy with the abundance of all these quirky fonts that came along to facilitate the modern-day celebration.

Some of these fonts have a "classic" Halloween look, so they won't go out of style at the turn of the year. Pointy tips, condensed x-heights, extra ghostly details at the end of the letter strokes make them indispensable for a wide variety of Halloween projects.

These fonts are a treat for anyone who is looking to elevate the holiday design from spectacular to spooktacular.
