Halloween fonts don’t have to be creepy to bring a little spooky magic to your designs! This year, I’m keeping things on the cute side of spooky with a collection of free Halloween fonts that are playful, quirky, and just a tiny bit wicked. Think Boo Crew, Pumpkin Queen, candy, little monsters, and more treats, less tricks—not blood, gore, and nightmare fuel. These fonts are perfect for kids’ Halloween projects, classroom crafts, treat bags, gift tags, Cricut designs, party printables, or anything else that could use a little Halloween personality. And the best part? Every font in this collection is free for commercial use, so you can have fun creating projects for yourself or designs you plan to sell.
So grab some candy, fire up your favorite design program, and let’s make something so cute, it’s scary!
I put together some of my favorite cute Halloween fonts that feel whimsical, quirky, and fun. Think friendly ghosts, smiling pumpkins, candy corn, magic potions, and Hocus Pocus rather than haunted houses and horror movies.
Even better, these fonts are available through Google Fonts, making them easy to download and use in your projects.
Make Halloween Cute Instead of Creepy
One of my favorite things about these fonts is that you don't have to use the traditional black-and-orange Halloween color palette.
Try pairing them with soft lavender, dusty pink, pumpkin orange, muted lime green, warm cream, and charcoal. Add smiling ghosts, tiny stars, candy, bows, pumpkins, or friendly bats and suddenly Halloween feels a lot sweeter.
These fonts would be especially fun for:
- Cricut and Silhouette projects
- Classroom printables
- Kids' Halloween shirts
- Trick-or-treat bags
- Party invitations
- Halloween stickers
- Gift tags
- Candy labels
- Classroom door signs
- Halloween cards
And don't be afraid to mix fonts. A quirky display font paired with a clean, simple sans serif can make even a very playful Halloween font feel polished.
